First , hold your glass tothe light to enjoy the burnished GOLD glow. then tilt and rotate it to see the bead of whisky appear on the inside of the glass. The smaller they are , the higher the alcohol strength, and the slower they fall, the better the spirit quality.

Next, add a drop of water and take three long sniffs. The first just gets your nose used in the alcohol, but in the second. you’ll discover our characteristic toffee sweetness , and in the THIRD, an almond nuttiness reminiscent of marzipan.

Now, taste the whisky by CHEWING it in your mouth for 3 or5 seconds, then swallow. the sides of your tongue will tingle, and after a few second your mouth will go dry, then water again, a unique characteristic of the great spirit. Adding more water to this whisky prolongs it’s. FULL SMOKEY FINISH.

The Highland Park Single Malt is one of the all time favourites in single malt drinker. The Highland Park 18 years single malt and The Highland Park 12 years old single malt are similar, for sure, the Highland Park single malt aged 12 is good, one of the best valued single malt on our shelf. The Highland Park single malt aged 18 however, is unbelievable full-bodied , a rich deep sherry-wood nose, The Palate is flowery honey first with a great initial sweet pang (pain?), then smoky-cigar, peat, burning-leaves, and some tongue tinglying but not a annoying. This malt is flavourable and warm. then it’s gives way to wonderful honey – malt and oaky flavours, with a long toast and marmalade finish. The Highland Park single malt aged 18 years is a little more wealthy. A tad more enjoyable, and still a good value.
