BEER LOVER’S REVIEWS; Poured from a 12oz bottle to a SA Imperial snifter glass.
Pours a pretty dark orange with a 2 finger head that laces to a thin line of tight fluffy bubbles. Big grapefruit smell on the nose followed by mango and a nice melon or honey dew scent, the malt melds well with the citrus hops evening them out for a damn good smelling IPA. The taste is much the same big citrus sweet malts, a slightly bitter sweet finish. Medium on the mf very sweet, and dry and a nice creaminess to it as it goes down. Overall this is awesome, glad i picked it up, will do again.
BEER LOVER’S REVIEWS: A- Copper-amber with a thin white head and some lacing.
S- Malty and boozy for a single IPA on the nose. Hoppy with some citrusy and pine notes.
T- Really deep malt notes. Caramel notes really come through as do bread dough. The hops balance it out with citrus being the first and foremost hop key. Really sweet for the style though. A bit too sweet.
M- Light-medium body with carbonation that is just a few shades too low. Some more carbonation might have prevented the sweetness from lingering too much.
O- A good beer but it’s a bit too sweet for the style I think. I’d like a bit more hops and make it a IIPA or backing off of th sweetness. A good beer, but not quite the paragon of style I was expecting from this brewery.
